But I do have to let up from time to time because it tend to put a damper on holidays.
Well, my solution would just be to refuse to let them see the movies until they read the books. Although... you're kids are grown, so that probably wouldn't work. Still, you could probably coerce them into doing do either by embarrasment or pride. Unfortunately, you probably DO have to lay off during the holidays.
Roflmao. (Still v. disappointed in wallflower. )

The more she thinks of it, so is Wallflower.

Now you do. They're around a 1000 pages total in my versions, I think, so if you're a fast reader you could probably take a weekend and finish the trilogy. Make it a weekend that's pretty free though- because once you get past the halfway point in the 1st book, you won't be able to stop, and the 2nd book is a gigantic cliffhanger, so you'll want the 3rd book on hand.

I am upset that OoP is the shortest film so far, yet it's the longest book in the series. I mean, leaving firenze and dobby out aside, the movie could have had more to it. It was like "don't blink or you might miss something, ok it's over now". Very disappointing.

Aaargh.the last time I had a weekend that was pretty free I wore shoulder pads and Reagan was in the White House. Maybe less time on HPC.

yeah right, it was very disappointing. the first film was over 3 hours and it was the shortest book. I mean they had had made the film longer, at least half an hour. it is frustrating how they can make out of such a very very good book so a bad movie.

It was? I don't even remember that. Either the producer is short on money, the director was picked badly, or the screeenwriter is just getting worse, and worse, and worse. (I personally am inclined to think the latter.)

Wallflower- ROFLMAO. Tell your son you'll be reading LOTR, I'm sure he'll approve- maybe you can even coerce him to cover you a little. XD
