Question Dark Lord?

Not sure if this has already been discussed but why does Dumbledore call LV the dark lord at Harry's trial? Only DE's do that. I hate this Dumbledore soooooooooo much!

Well, its' the movie version, so its' not set in stone that only DE call Voldemort the Dark Lord- and when trying to make a point to the Ministry, You-Know-Who doesn't seem quite as dangerous/menacing/other adjectives that describe a very large and pressing problem.

I feel rather neutral about this Dumbledore- he never struck me as particularily bad or good, although his interpretation does make it easier to imagine/write Manipulative! Dumbledore.

I feel sorry for him. He's a good character actor and yet he had to follow Richard Harris -- the perfect Dumbledore.

We can't have the movies without DD, and obviously Richard Harris couldn't continue. Such a delimma. I'm not as enamored with him as I was with the original, but he does an adequate job. I don't think anyone could have stepped in and picked up where Harris left off.

Yeah- imagine if Emma Watson had decided not to continue with HP- the replacement would have quite a difficult time with the role.

I think that would be the case for any of them. and with two movies left to go, it is a real possibility that someone else may have to be replaced for some unforseen reason.

Ohh, I really hope not- except maybe Bellatrix, whom I am imagined to be different. Actually, Fleur amd Viktor could be replaced, I guess. And Kingsley.
Okay, so maybe there are so people who don't really LOOK like what I had imagined- but it would be weird, now that we're already 5 movies into the series, to change actors.

(But it definitely would be harder for the main characters, especially those who seriously resemble their characters.)

it would be ridiculous (sp??) to change actors/actresses this far into the movies with only 2 left. it just wouldn't make any sense to do that so fingers crossed that they don't.

Once you've set a certain look for someone in the movies, I don't really think that you can change it, even if it doesn't really seem right. For the movie viewers at least, they'll be quite confused.
