Yes, the first movie was excellent. The second was pretty good too. They kind of set the scene for the rest of the series to be made into movies. But the rest have not lived up to the standards set by the first two. Also, we've got to realize that the first books were fairly concize and thus more of them could be transferred onto the screen. The later books are much larger and a lot more has to be compacted into almost the same amount of screen time, giving us disjointed stories with many scenes, we the readers thought important, going missing.

I think Dumbledore was being tactful by not saying Voldemort at a formal hearing. In the books, most people, especially Ministry cronies dont mention 'voldemort' in civilized conversations.

I agree - remember Fudge was doing everything he could not to recognise Voldemort's return.

It's really only Harry and Dumbledore who uses the name regularly - everyone else struggles to say the word.

Re irreplaceable actors - well you'd struggle to find anyone to play Lucius as well as Jason Isaacs.....and Maggie Smith is LEGEND as dear Minerva. She is reportedly filming HBP whilst receiving treatment for breat cancer.....our thoughts are with her!
