Just toss all those one-liners in. We can steal from each other and use whatever works.

-------------------------------

Have they signed contracts yet for “The Order of the Phoenix?”
Is the screenplay already written? Is OoP a lost cause?

-------------------------------

Dear Jo – Well, you tried it their way and all four movies so far have stunk.
We might be too late to save movie #5, but can we hope for #’s 6 and 7?
Take charge! You’re JKR! Don’t let them push you around.
You’re the expert, not those Hollywood half-wits.

-------------------------------

The productions of the first four movies were clearly NOT a labor of love.
The screenwriters and directors should be major fans.
Even the producers and others should have at least read the books.

This reminds me of the worst movie ever made: “Dune.” It was just
a series of cheesey cameo’s, no story, and in the end, it rained on Dune.
To anyone who had read it, it was more of an abomination than Paul’s
little sister. To anyone who had not read it, the movie was just so much
unmemorable nonsense. A major classic and they killed it.

{hmmm… good word. Abomination. We should find a way to use it in the final draft.}

I read “Gone With the Wind” before I saw the movie and yes, I was a
little disappointed. Scarlet wasn’t pretty enough, they left out her first
born (a son) entirely, they only used the line, “I’ll think about it tomorrow”
once, at the end, when Scarlet used it over and over through the whole
story… BUT STILL, they got the general idea.

“Lord of the Rings”? Ok, they left out Tom and a bunch of other good stuff, and
they played up the romance more than it deserved. STILL, they got the general idea.

HP? They missed it entirely.

Ok, i know its not briliant or anything but its just some of the things i thought about the movie, so take what you want and throw the rest away...lol

================================================== =============

Quite a few people are unhappy with the quality of the last couple of movies, mainly the 4th.

We want to fix this in a way that is benificial to you, still bringing in full audiences, and us the fans, with a movie that more closely follows the book, and comes to life on the screen.

We feel that anyone remotely involved with the making of the movie, from the director, to the actors, to the guy who delievers the pizza, have read every book in the series and remain up to date on the subject.

We feel that HP fans, mainly kids, being that they make up your biggest audience, be consulted on what goes into the movie. what bits of side story get put in, etc...

Harry Potter is a book about a wizard coming into a world he didn't know existed and about him learning about it and about him growing up.Including, but not just, about his battle with Voldemort. All of this is what is in the books and what we feel should be put in the movie.

We feel that more emphasis is put on the look of the movie whereas, it should focus more on the characters themselves and keeping it to the book.

The movie seems to depend on how it looks instead of following the true story lie.

The story line of the movies seem weak. More so in 4 than the first 3 but it is evident in all of them. Number 4 needed more of the conflict between Hermione, harry and rita skeeter.

For example, in the Chamber of Secrets, the fact that Argus Filch was a squib was a big secne that many were loooking forward to. As well as the Deathday party of Sir Nicholas. Scenes like this are essential to keeping the story about this boy and his new life and not just about his fight with Lord Voldemort.

Nice guys. So, is the plan to make our seperate petitions, but post them all on here before we make them so that we can steal some of the lines? Or are we just going to post all our ideas in here, mash them together, and make one uber petition?

We should just make one big "uber petition" since if we voted on one there will still be some changes made, and this way everybody would have a hand in writing it....also, all of the original wiriters should sign there names as part of the petition itself instead of just adding them to the list, that way everybody will know who wrote it.

I like that idea, that'd be great!

Okay, so here's ani idea to add:
We should put that we know they have a money and time budget (or else they'll just write back saying that we just don't understand movie making)
And that this way, we'll be helping each other out because they'll be getting more money and we'll be getting a good movie for a change.

I think that we should make a deadline for when all the ideas are due, that way on the day they're due, we can start taking all the ideas and construct the actual petition. What do you think?

That works for me.

By the way, does anyone know whether they have
signed contracts yet for “The Order of the Phoenix?”
Is the screenplay already written? Is OoP a lost cause?
