Hey, that's an awsome idea!!!!!

But wait, how will we get the signatures that's on this one to the other petition? You know what I mean?

As the author of that first petition, don't you have
access to the e-mail addresses of those who signed?

They must be somewhere.

If everybody likes the idea of writing there own petition and voting on one, should there be a final entry date? That way it would encourage people to remember to write it and get it done so it could be sent in.

I signed the petition! harry potter fans are the ones that the movie people should listen to, we are the one's they are supposed to make the movies for. After all thats where there getting there money from!

And yeah, I think that it's a good idea for everyone to put their ideas down .. I guess we need a brave person to go first, lol.

You changed the name, but my objection was really about the content.
Picking on XXXX personally (I forget the actress' name) was a bad idea, and the idea was dropped near the beginning of the thread. Still, someone reading it from the beginning would think that was the whole point and move on without finding that out.

We should probably go through it, as individuals, and edit out all references to XXXX or What's-Her-Name.
I did mine on Posts # 4, #6 and #83.
GWR could modify #'s 1, 2 and 29.
hp4ever could modify post # 3.
Ottery mentions her in post #7.
RitaRox could modify post #'s 31,86 and 95.
I think that's everyone.

[for PART TWO: WE LOVE HP!]
We have read all of the HP books to date, and they are wonderful.
(need synonym for “wonderful” and lots of details.)


[for PART THREE: COMPLAINTS, PROBLEMS]
We have seen the first four movies and, frankly, they are awful (need synonym)
The problems are in (1) the screenwriting, (2) the directing, (3) much of the casting, (4) costumes & make-up, (5) the general slip-shod attitude…

HP is a major classic and deserves better. It should be up there with
“Gone With the Wind.” You should be aiming for an Oscar in every category.
Instead, we see an attitude of just-churn-‘em-out-it’s-only-kids-watching-and-they’ll-buy-anything.

Which is not surprising -- we have heard of director _____ (name?)
bragging that he had never even read the book!

The costumes and make-up made everyone look like hell, except Sirius, who
SHOULD have looked like a corpse. He looked downright healthy to me.
And what happened to his “elbow-length tangle?”
That wouldn’t have cost any extra time. Or money.

Bad enough you feel the need to cut stuff out, but changing the story in unforgivable.
What was that crap about Dumbledore taking Norbert away?

And the fourth movie -- you cut out the whole story.

[I suppose Peeves is a lost cause. But how can they do “The Order of the Phoenix without him?
(His finest hour!) What kind of stupid crap will they put in his place for the twin’s big scene?]

Ok, I'm done for now. With a little encouragement, I could rant for days.
The idea is to figure out how to cram as much coherent detail as possible
into one page, so the complaints can't take up more than half the page.

But for the brain-storming stage, we can rant until the cows come home.

I like a good rant every now and then, wether its mine or reading someone elses...its very mind cleansing to get things off your chest like that...anyways, i have a bunch of ideas writen down. like single sentences of things i think should be in it but i've never been good at making it into anything readable...

Nice rant. And about the email addresses being somewhere, somewhere is exactly where they are. I chose the option so that the signatures and emails wouldn't be seen by anyone, including myself.

I'm going to try to edit the ones you suggested. And thanks for signing frontpagenews!!!
