An idea for the HP movies

I wish...

The Harry Potter movies have all stunk, and future episodes will continue to stink, simply because you can't make a decent movie out of such a complex book.

One cure for this would be to make a mini-series out of each of the remaining movies. They'll still make their money. Harry Potter fans would lap them up, no matter how many they make. HP5-a, HP5-b, HP5-C...

What I'd really like to see is:
First, continue making the stinko movies as usual, let them make their money in the theatres & video. THEN, make it into a one-hour weekly series, and fill in the huge gaps with digital scenes. Scrap the stupid scenes that didn't follow the book (Dumbledore took Norbert) and fill it in with what really happened (going up to the tower to give Norbert to Charley).

Psyduck: Your idea has merit. The movies tend to leave out a lot of detail. I would be in favor unless this means we have to put up with Peeves. Peeves is such an annoying prat. I don't think I could tune in every week to watch that airborne tick brain dribbling candle wax on everyone's head. I'd have to shoot my TV. (grin)

the movies are better if you dont think of the movie as supposed to be like the book. the bourne identity and supremacy didnt even have the same plots in the book he wasnt even an assasin in the book. so think of the harry potter movie as completely different from the book

I have only one problem with that... How would they film all the part of what really happened? THe kids are too old for that... i mean, they can make a 28 year old look like he's 16, or whateve, but I don't see how they can make a 15 year old look 11... Plus their voices... I don't see how it would work.

For the weekly series, they could fill in the huge gaps with digital scenes. The technology just keeps getting better. Did you see "Simone?"

Voices? No problem. Every time they made a new "Charlie Brown" episode, they needed a whole new round of children's voices. They found them, and I could't hear any difference.
