An idea for the HP movies

Like someone mentioned before, you'd have to get different actors for the kids because they'd be too old. Secondly, a miniseries would not command near the budget of a film. Therefore, you might possibly have to lose some of the other actors, you might lose the sets, and you'd almost certainly lose the CG quality.

I did read the original post, and responded to it. First of all, yes technology keeps getting better, but it still isn't cheap, and TV producers aren't going to shell out the kind of cash that would be required for the kind of CG we've seen in the films so far. Replacing actors is not comporable to replacing voices. People can imitate a voice, they can't imitate a face, or quality acting for that matter. I think people would notice if Alan Rickman was replaced with Tim Allen.

i think a minieries would be a fantastic idea. Unlike those other clever people who've voiced their opinions, i am not capable of thinking of the movies and seperate from the books. Thats not how its suppossed to work. But like sombody said(i'm much to lazy to go all the way back through and find it to quote it) the producers and directors and what not would find a way to ruin it as well so i really dont see the point in even getting my hopes up at the thought of sombody doing it right.

....but if we had more reliable people to create the series(meaning any one of anybody who regularly posts here....lol) then it would be fantastic.
