| Hmm .. even though we are really desperate to see all the parts of the books filmed, i think that there's a certain point where we just give up. Having weekly shows sounds like it would turn out like Smallville - each episode able to be it's own movie. Also, I would think that the actors and actresses might not be willing to tape these every week. They've been doing Harry Potter for so long now, that they might just want to get it over with. They should've either done it well from the beginning or not done it at all. |

| Believe me...they'd (meaning TV excs and producers and such) would do stuff in a miniseries to ruin the book storyline too. I've seen happen before with book turned miniseries. The movies aren't that bad if you think of them as ther own entities, and not as extensions of the books. In my lifetime, (and its longer then i'll admit to anyone here), I've only seen one Movie from a book that followed the book religiously. The Green Mile, by Stephen King |

HBO could very well make it rock. They are very respectful of their audience, and are not afraid of length or violence or anything of the sort and they seem to have a very big budget. That would be a great idea, except that i'm immensely attached to the current actors and I don't know if they could work it out. |

(We don't get HBO. We have the cheepo, old-people version that they are required by law to have but they won't tell you about it unless you know and demand it... The kids spend too much time on the TV, even with the old-fashioned, basic channels.) And yes, I'm immensely attached to the current actors. They could still do it. Between the scraps from the cutting room floor and the magic of modern animation (like the movie, "Simone") they wouldn't need new actors. |
