People Making Fun Of Harry Potter

I'm not sure that Catholicism is the major religion in europe - Europe is not a real entity - just a collection of very individual countries! Catholicism is NOT the main religion in the UK, nor is it in Germany or Holland. eastern Europe has it's own churches as well.

In the UK Harry Potter has never come under fire from the religous quarter, but it is credited with getting a generation of kids reading! Which is something to be grateful for!

People make fun of everything nowadays. Hey, I make fun of most things. I don't think it's a bother that there are skits about HP in the media. In fact, it actually shows how popular HP has become.

Regarding being made fun of for reading HP and being involved with a chat site about it, I've never had to deal with that actually. But I can see where some opinions are coming from. If you're sensitive about it then you'll get bothered easily. If you can talk back, it's better.

And about religious connotaions and views, tis best not to meddle with it. Unless you claim to be a modern day witch or wizard, or are a member of Wica (sp) or any other such cult, I don't think there's anything to worry about.

I don't mind mind media attention that much... it's those people who have never even read the books who trash it that get on my nerves.

A priest in North-Norway said that we should get ridd of all HP book.. I think so at least was on the news last year

I make fun of Harry all the time:

*Scene changes to classroom harry siting*
Me: Harry Moss!
Harry: Why do youalways do that to me?!
^Harry runs out of room crying^
*Scene is back to normal*

See Harry is afraid of moss. Either that or Moss is the true killer of the Potters.

I think that the people that make fun about HP never read the books. They are empty people... If they knew about the magic and humanity in the books they would no longer make fun...
