Question

After searching all day for tickets today I finally landed one and saw the movie. My heart was racing as it started. Yet as the movie went on I kept feeling like something was missing, yes I fully expected alot to be left out. The Quiddich tournament, I knew had to be cut down. But the first challange with the dragon was drawn out, not like it was in the book. The familiar cast were great it was just something that was lacking. The best part was when Harry and Cedric reached the cup, the scenes with the dark Lord were magic and when Harry returned with Cedric's body I cried but other then those scenes I felt a little let down. So if you've seen the movie, did anyone else feel a little let down?

Yeah the beginning was a let down because I really wanted to see the scenes where the Weasley's made their entrance thru the floo network. I really think that could have been done nicely and made funny just to see how the Dursley's reacted.

I think that something had to be cut down in order to make the movie less than like five hours long, and even though it was dissapointing to have those funny parts cut out, what can you do? The length of the movie, in my opinion, was great. If it had been longer it probably would've lost some of it's audience and stuff like that.

Plus, it's another reason why we can tell those people that only watch the movies (*grr*) that the books are 10 times better!

You are so right Rita! I have now seen the movie 3 yes 3 times and will see it again on Sunday. I must say that having seen it again(and again) that I do truley love the film, I'm still not sure if I love it more then the third film though.

Me, too.
It was too tight.
It's not just that they cut out too much of the good stuff.
They shaved seconds here and there, so you didn't have time
to enjoy and digest before moving on to the next scene.
If you didn't already know what they were talking about,
you wouldn't know what they were talking about.
