| I think they made an extreamly large and detrimental mistake with the basilik in the movie. When in the book Tom says to Harry "The Basilik may be blind but it can still smell you" but in the movie he says it can still hear you, snakes can hardly hear at all. Their main sense is smell. So then it has Harry cornered and it could obviously smell him then Harry throws a rock making a very small noise that even a much smaller snake wouldn't hear. It could maybe feel the vibrations but Harry was right infront of him, there is no way he could have escaped. |

| The movies do have a certain... bad quality to them. Anyone who has never picked up a book would say it is a great movie. But those that have read them know better. the movies leave to much stuff out. |
