I just noticed that....

I just noticed that the three different types of 'blood' were represented in HP

Ron: Pureblood
Harry: Half-blood
Hermione: Muggle born (Mud blood)

Do you think this was an accident or did J.K.R set if up that way??? Did anyone else notice this??? Please tell me your thoughts on this I really want to know what other people think of it.

I read that more than 50% of Hogwarts students are halfbloods, or mixed blood, and only about 15% are purebloods.

I was commenting on the fact that she had all three of the different 'bloods' represented in the three main characters. And was wondering whether it was accident or on purpose.

Well, maybe she did it on purpose... I think Harry HAD to be a halfblood, because his mother needed to be Muggle-born, and his dad needed to be a wizard, too...
And one of the other two had to be Muggle-born, and I'm not surprised it was Hermione because she probably wanted the Muggle-born to be the smartest of the three.
And as for Ron... well, I can't imagine him being anything but a pureblood blood-traitor...

I would think something like this would be on purpose. AND part of her showing that all types can get along in the world - if they want to badly enough.

I read somewhere something about why there were no brown peaple in the books, as main characters....do you think that it would have been better if one of the trio was brown?

no, I dont think it would make that much of a difference. In the HP world, people arent praised or discriminated against when it comes to race. Its all about blood status!
