Heds- Harry had heard of Slytherin probably all of five times. You really think he HATED the House that much when knowing so little about it?
Okay, let's assume that Harry DID hate Slytherin. That action in itself proves that he's much better suited to Gryffindor or Slytherin, because, while I don't say Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw are particularly meek, I do say Gryffinor and Slytherin tend to be more aggressive. Daring/bravery and ambition/cunning are much more correlated to agression, action, strong opinion- i.e. taking sides. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, at least in comparison to Gryffinor and Slytherin are peace-makers: Harry, like it or not, is a main combatant one way or another.

Probably not, Heds. *Laughs* No one ever said Slytherins were humble.
Nonetheless, just for you Heds, *flourishes*, I'll see if there's something to be done about masking the superiority-thing.
Although, in hindsight, how we ever thought you weren't a Gryff is beyond me, Heds. XD Not a bad thing, of course!

The first good Slytherin?
We're no longer considering Severus Snape "good"?
He was certainly a Slytherin.
And Team Snape will definitely vouch for Snape being "good" in his own way. XD

the first good slytherin?
thats to bold to say.
while most slytherins had a knack for trouble.
there are plenty of slytherins that are decent.
Even Regalus Black saw the error of his ways and helped in the end.

I think that Harry would have been in Slytherin if he was not Gryiffindor just because the fact he could speak with snakes.

slytherin. for sure. and my opinion doesn't include all that Voldy connection stuff. There's nothing "bad" about the people in slytherin, you can't assume that. it's just that many of the traits that slytherin admires tend to lead most (not all) to be power-hungry and rude(sorry, but it's true)
-he's just not smart enough for ravenclaw and too righteous for hufflepuff

I know he would have probably packed off and left if the hat had said Slytherin but I really think that he would have if not Gryffindor of course because of Voldermorts influence in him but it doesn't change the matter. And if definitely not Slytherin I say Hufflepuff because look at the picture in DH when Harry and Luna needed to go to Ravenclaw common room I'm quite sure he didn't know heads or tails for the answer then the poor boy would be sleeping outside every night. So here's what I think Harry was fircely loyal neither heads nor tails could make him go over to Voldermort he was always faithful to the cause. He was dependable because when bad times came he saw it as his responsibility to get Hermione, Ron and whoever else back to safety and he did to.
