Could Harry Be A Decendent Of Goric Gryffindor

I think Harry could be a decendent of Gryffindor and here is why. His parents lived in Godric's Hollow. In book two Dumbledor tells him only a true GRYFFINDOR could pull out Godric's old sword. Also there is the saying that the cover of the Half Blood Prince shows a picture of a man who looks like a lion and Gryffindor's symbol is one.

Voldemort is def. the heir of Slytherin and he hasn't got any kids (Jo said) but what about Harry being the heir of Gryfindor?? We know from the sorting hat that there was great contest between Godric and Salazaar, so what if the battle between Voldemort and Harry is a continuing of that conflict??

Hey, this might be the tie to CoS!!!?? Remember that Jo's said that there's something that Harry discovered in the CoS book that will relate to the last books ? What if it is the things that Harry discovered in CoS were:
1) that Voldemort is the heir to Slytherin and
2)Harry really belong in Gryfindor and
3) MAYBE, that Harry belongs to Gryffindor (pulling the sword from the hat)
and these discoveries 'foreshaow' that Harry is the heir to Gryffindor and therefore, Voldemort and Harry have been destined for centuries, to fight it out. ???

BuffyBuff and Bubba 5105: I agree with both of you... Maybe he is the heir of Gryffindor!?!? Voldy and him are related cause of long2 ago... Godric and Salazar were fighting each other just like them before them!? (Oh, my language) And Dumbledore said to Harry (2nd book) he realy belongs to Gryffindor (in another words, of course). And, and... there are so many reasons!!! Genius point, man!!! So interesting!!!

That's a good idea. Hmm.... but I don't think that JK would make THAT what we're supposed to figure out. It seems too easy, ya know what I mean?

Or maybe that could just be part of it. And the other part we havent figured out yet.

I def think it it's possible, i mean we know heaps about the Dursleys, which is Harry's mother's side, but we don't really know anything about his dad's family <_< Like, what happened to his grandparents on that side????And how come, if he has any relatives on that side, no one has ever contacted him or told him about them?

that's true but maybe lupin could tell harry something james and lupin were friends after all or maybe dumbledore because he is really old and he could have possibly known more of harry's family
