Why Does Dumbledore Trust Snape?

Im with you on that one, snape just did it to save himself and draco too. He didnt have much of a choice with the unbreakable vow and most people would of done what snape had to do in that situation.

i dont know why. snape seems evil enough to me. why is it that dumbledore lets snape push harry around? does he know what snape says? im so confused!

Maybe........ as noted in the HBP snape was an accomplished potion maker and studied well in lessons with slughorn... So however was Lilly James. They would have been in the same class together.

Is it not a possibility that snape liked lilly and when she got together with James this was the basis for snapes increased hatred of him. Maybe Dumbledore knew snapes old feelings for lilly and therefore knew he would never have wished any serious harm to come to her , so believed that he was genuinely sorry when Voldemort used the prophecy to attack lilly and her family!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There must be something unknown obviously between Snape and Dumbledore..

I think that we do not yet know what "thing" snape did to make D.D. trust him so much. His faith never faltered. I hope that we do find that Snape is not truley evil. I have a hard time believing that D.D. was such a fool. I do not think that he would show such faith in someone just because they said that they were sorry. It would take a much more dramatic event for D.D. to never waiver in his belief that Snape is good.

If Voldemort told Snape that he wanted to kill Harry himself, then why is it that snape didn't take Harry with him so Voldemort could kill him? Why did he tell the death eaters to leave Harry? Voldemorts so cowardly and lazy that he would get one of his death eaters to bring harry to him anyway. So if Snapes evil why is it that he didn't take harry to voldemort, i'm sure Voldemort would've been pleased.

what i'm really mad about is that dumbledore believed that snape felt sorry for harry's parents, i mean, come on! when lupin was in the hospital wing at the end, he said that there was no way snape was going to feel sorry for james. that told you something right there, didn't it?

I think he was asking him to do what he had agreed to do and I don't think DD is dead I think there is so much more to the story.

dumbledore trusts everyone. as it says in the in 6th book, he sees the best in everyone
