Animagus Me

I also think I could be a fox, its a bit of a toss up. Depends on how dominant my Slytherin side is feeling. Really ominous thing about being a fox Animagus is that Bellatrix kills the one in HBP. *shudders*

I would like to be a coyote (fast, adaptable, clever, and funny) - but who knows - do you get to pick or is it like your patronus - a reflection of some type?

I was thinking a fox for an animagus, but a bear for a patronus

but jelfs got me wondering if they have to be the same.

I went with the fox for movement -- craftiness.

I think they're different, but do you get to choose either? Did Sirius choose a dog? I don't remember any choice on patronus - they just were part of their being...

Although, James were the same weren't they.

Moody, Prongs, Wormtail, and Moony -- they were all Animaguses -- unregistered. Well, I don't think Moony qualified as he was a werewolf -- but the others were.

Actually, we don't know if they match because James WAS a stag Animagus, but we don't know if his Patronus was also a stag. Harry's Patronus is a stag because he views his father as a protector.

Tonks' Patronus was Moony, because she was in love with Remus, but it doesn't mean her Animagus form would match if she had one.

For some reason I was under the impression that the Animagus form was a reflection of your personality.

Would wormtail's petronus be a rat? How embarrassing! What would be symbolically worse? A roach?
