He's got all three, really. I just thought he was more Raven than Gryff.

I can't teach. I can understand things instantly. But I cannot deal with stupidity. Not ONE SINGLE BIT. I'm very Severus and Slytherin in that sense. My friends will drive me crazy when they refuse to comprehend relatively simple concepts (like Sum and Product of the Roots. R1+R2=-b/a.R1*R2=c/a. It's not that hard!)

Well, simply put, Slytherins are street smart and Ravenclaws are book smart. Ravenclaws desire knowledge for the sake of academia, Slytherins desire information in the pursuit of power.
