A commercial fisherman once told me that everybody should live on the ocean where the bleep bleep government couldn't get their hands on you or your money. I observed that sooner or later, land mammals will end up on land. It's the nature of the specie. He agreed. Unfortunately he needed petroleum products for his boat and fermented grain for himself. So we sat in a bar and mourned the day that mankind slid out of the primordial soup and landed on shore. It was the beginning of the end.

i dont think any1's gonna be comingbck from the dead because i read somewhere that their isn't a curse to bring back the dead i think it was in book 4 after harry was with the fake moody and he had seen his parents

oh wow i thought the exact thing, i believed that Sirius could still help and communicate somehow Harry from behind the veil even if he doesn't return to the magical world.
he wanted to look behind but someone pulled him(can't remember who) i said he shoud have tried to look behind the veil. maybe something could have been seen,
i also thought , harry's parents were killed with the same curese right? so maybe harry's parents are where sirius is and that harry might be able to communicate with sirius through his want like how he did with his parents and cedric in the fourth book. i thought it was a wrong idea to think that maybe harry to communicate with sirius somehow behind the veileven though he can't come to the magical world.

Maybe Sirius will still help Harry and maybe communiate somehow. Isn't strange how the ghosts that came out of Voldemorts wand/ Prior Incantatem (I think) could see and reason. They weren't just whisps of smoke; they'd retained some of the character and intelligence of the person they reflected-just like the pictures, Riddle's diary and the Erised mirror and of course the ghosts I suppose. JKR is remarkable, I never fail to be amazed at this imagination. I've never read anything else that has this degree of originality- sorry , just a personal rave!


What's the 'world' behind the veil is as much of a question as what's the 'world' of the 'picture people'? No-one seems to bother to ask them. Just like no-one much (not even Hermione) bothers to ask the house elves what there lives are like. Pretty conceited , self-consumed lot these wizards.

Frankly I think it's odd that these spirits of the wand would stay all crunched up in there all these years. What were they waiting for? Or did Valdemort's wand pull them from behind the veil? And what happened to the Riddle family? Didn't Valdemort kill his father and grandparents? Why weren't they in the wand? I am so confused.

Zonko the reason why those spirits came in the way they did was that they were coming in reverse order, I am sure if Harry had held on longer their would be more spirits, I am sure V killed a lot more people then what JK put in the book, it would have taken a week to get them all out.

Buffy: yeah I know it does seem a little goofy that more people do not turn to the picture, Because Dumbledore does, and that works for him. My question is if Dumbledore can talk to old head masters, then why can't Harry talk to his parents. Does it only work in painting, do photos not work. Could there be a painting with Harry's parents that he can talk to? Or may be there is a ritual that has to be performed upon your death. I do not know, but it would seem to me if I could talk to a painting from the past I would sure as heck listen. I mean they are quote on quote a Fly on the Wall.
