surprime witch: If you doooo :P read the other postings, you will see that yes, you are absoulutely correct; we've already discussed and discovered that, in the CoS, Colin Creevy tells us that he had to use a potion (not a spell) to develop the film and that that made the subjects move. We're just wondering wether something similar might happen with the paintings. We are never told aboput this in the in the books ... are we? Additionally, we are wondering what the painting and photo's subjects' lives are like inside the canvass or paper. Does their world reflect our own? Would a photo/ painting of Voldemort go around killing others in the 'subjects'' world? The 'subjects' appear to be immortal. When the Fat Lady's canvass is ripped by Sirius, she just runs away. Does this mean that the subjects can live on even when their painting is ruined?

Daniel_luva: Your brain seems to be working just fine to me. You bring up a really great point. If you don't mind I will use your perfectly reasonable point to launch my thoughts into unreasonable territory. what if there's a whole world behind the canvass and paper and the paintings and photos are just a window into them? Then the artist and the photographer aren't the creators of the painting/photo but merely the means by which we can peer in to this other world...?? This is getting WAY too metaphysical for my puney brain but what do you think?
| |||
Hi Daniel Luva: Yup stuff like this makes me mental too. Like, how did Sirius get into Hogwarts undetected? All those spells and enchantments that are keeping Voldemort out, couldn't keep Sirius and Pettigrew out. Maybe that's the key. Maybe Dumbledore didn't add any spell connected to animals because the spell would also prevent the student owls and toads from entering Hogwarts. Maybe Sirius entered as a dog and of course, Pettigrew entered as a rat. Maybe that's the answer. Maybe not.

Brillant Zonko!!! I think you've got it... By Harry... I think you've got it!!! The ability of animals to find Hogwarts and enter it, would also explain why dementors had no problem entering the grounds even though they were told not to.(Are dementors considered 'animals'?) Of course!! I never even thought about the owls reaching an unplottable Hogwarts!! You are v. v. clever.

SLYTHERIN4ME: Ok so I wrote out this HUGE raging rave at you about how offended I was by your "Soooooo boring :angry: " comment. I've decided that I will give you the benifit of the doubt and let you explain before I rag on you. Please explain that you were not being really rude and what you meant was...... See Zonko, Ms Manners is teaching me to pull my punches!

i think that sirius is not really dead, he is just behind that veil waiting for some sort of sign or waiting for someone to come and get him out of there! When i read that part in the book, i wondered why Harry didnt start crying cause he was really close to sirius and loved him like a father.

hmmmm I am glad you agree that He is not dead but waiting, I was thinking about that and I thought of something that I have yet to hear about, what about that secret passage that is "caved in" could it just be bewitched to look that way?????? What if in the next book we find out that it is a secret room that only Dumbledore know about, and that could be how he can get of and on the grounds so quickly???? hmmm yes that is a good theory yes Buff ,Timewalker, Zonko and Kimberly, help me out? Also what if Sirius knew about it, and did not tell anyone, not even Dumbledore????????
