I think Sirius became and Animagus because he, Lupin and James wanted to get away from school in secret(thanks to Snape) I wonder if Lupin's Animagi was a werewolf or still just a werewolf at night?? <_<

I thought Sirius and James became animagis to try and help Lupin through the bad nights when he turned into a werewolf. The Shrieking Shack was built for Lupin so he would have somewhere to go at Hogwarts during the full moon.

I think Sirius became and Animagus with Peter Pettigrew and James Potter because when they found out about Remus Lupin becoming a werewolf at the end of each month they wanted to be some company to him.

Aren't you surprised that if all those critters were locked up with Lupin during the full moon, they weren't killed or injured when they were students? Lupin is strong werewolf and he doesn't seem to listen to reason once he's moonstruck.

Well, they could turn into their animal form in no time at all, so it dosn't surprise me they didn't get bit. As for Lupin and them together, werewolves only go nuts for humans.

I don't think it's possible to "become" an animagus. I think McGonnagal said somewhere that you were born an anamagus. I might be wrong, but I don't think I am.

I think james and sirius became an amigus because they didnot want to make lupin fell loney and to keep him company ..for gods sake they were best friends!!!
