| Actually, I'm sort of with Seriously Sirius here, 'cause I haven't seen the last one. I keep meaning to buy the set for my housemate 'cause she's a real fan, and then of course I'd watch them! But her birthday is a few months away yet. I'm OK with being a non-American though, since I'm an Aussie! |

You've been on this planet for fifteen years and you haven't seen StarWars?!!! Well, put down whatever you're doing and march yourself right out to the video store and rent them. All six of them. You can't be a part of American culture if you haven't seen them. There autta be a law... [/b][/quote] I'm an Australian too, so it really doesn't bother me if I'm not part of American culture! There's six, wow! I thought there was three! Are they worth watching, then? I do like the Lord of the Rings movies though. |

(tears at face like the guy at the sink in "poltergeist") Are you out of your mind? All. And for the full effect, you need to see them exactly in their proper order: Episode #4 StarWars (the original, with young Luke, now sometimes called "A New Hope.") Episode #5, The Empire Strikes Back Episode #6, The Return of the Jedi Episode #1, The Phantom Menace Episode #2, The Attack of the Clones Episode #3, Revenge of the Sith George Lucas originally wrote nine (9) episodes, but had trouble selling them. Episode #4 was the best as a stand-alone story, so they started there. They didn't even expect to make a second movie, and never dreamed of making six. George now says that he is retired, and will never make episodes 7, 8 and 9. This is probably why people get away with bigger plans today -- like making all three Lord of the Rings movies at once, or expecting to make all seven Harry Potter movies before the first one is even released. |

| Is that a Yes! to your own question 'Are you out of your mind?' or a Yes! to 'Are they worth watching, then?"? (Both, I suspect) Do you mean I should watch them in the order, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 ?? I shall go rent them and watch them as soon as possible and then tell you that I am now a true Star Wars fanatic and then I shall sob on bended knee asking you to forgive me for speaking of them so casually. Will that suffice? |
