What Is Your Favorite Student In Gryffindor?

(Well, Luna's actually in Ravenclaw...)

But they did make a good choice for Luna. (I was rather tickled to know that was pretty much her real voice, it was SO Luna-esque.)

I like Harry a lot as well, I just feel that he's almost the default character, so he doesn't really count because EVERYONE likes him. Harry is just THE good guy, THE Gryffindor. (Like Voldemort is THE bad guy, THE Dark Lord. Somehow I don't really consider him, obviously everyone hates him.)

Oh, i forgot Luna wasn't a Gryffindor, i knew that.

My favorite student in Gryffindor is Hermione Granger but my other favorites students are Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbotton, Luna Lovegood

Well I agree that according to this question in HPC Harry is the default character.
But I would not say he is THE good guy.
Because I think the whole story, over 7 books is how he becomes a good guy.
I think there are a lot of crossings in the story where he had the choice to go another way. And the story would be completely boring if he would be THE good guy from the beginning.

But to go back to the question: If I have to make a choice, it is Ginny. She is bright, honest, and whatever, and I love the way she deals with her brothers.

Harry most definitely develops throughout the series- but he was the protagonist for the get-go, and even in the first book, the battle seemed to boil down to Harry, Light, vs. Voldemort, Dark, with everyone else inbetween aiding their respective sides.

I love the line, from I forget which book right now but I think OotP, where Hermione says, without even looking up, that Ginny has been breaking open the broomshed and stealing each of their brooms in turn, when one of the twins comments that they don't know how she got so good at flying.
