I was also thinking that maybe Harry's scar disappears if he kills Voldemort, because it is really more of a link between them than a regular scar, isn't it?

Lightbulb Re: Harry's Scar

we know that when Voldemort tried to destroy Harry is when the scar appeared.
so i think that as long as Voldemort keeps tryin to kill Harry the scar will be there.
So when and IF Harry beats Voldemort the scar will disapear with along with its creator
everyone assumes that since the last word in the series is "scar" it automatically means that it's refering to Harr'ys scar
it could be ANYTHING even an everlasting scar that one of the other characters could recieve from a battle.
or even an emotional scar deep within
you just never know!
dont jump to conclusions especially when we're facing the biggest one of all.

The last word changed.
It is no longer "scar."

Some things are an easy search. I just looked for "scar last word,"
and came up with a bunch of them.

When asked by whether the word "scar" was still the last word in the book, as has been reported, she said: "Scar? It was for ages, and now it's not.
"Scar is quite near the end, but it's not the last word."

I highly doubt that his scar will dissappear once he kills off Voldemort. (IF that actually happens which i so hope will happen.) His scar kind of stopped bothering him after GOF did it not? He still had the connection with Voldy but not so much pain in the last set of books. Just a thought though.

Just because the scar appeared when Voldermort tried to kill him as a baby doesn't mean it will vanish if Voldermort dies....although it is possible since this is Harry Potter after all lol.

The scar represents Voldemort 'marking' Harry as his equal. It distinguishes Harry from everybody else.
