hey, valynn here...i just recently discovered harry potter. i mean i always knew it was there, but growing up in a very strict home, i wasn't allowed to read it. well, now i make the rules....MUAHAHAHA!!! i've even got my two little brothers hooked...i'm their only link to the HP world, because my bloody rents are INSANE. but i like it, i like it a lot. so if anyone has cool things to tell me to catch me up on all the years of HP i missed, please....feel free. :P *wanna be weasley*

I'm icemerriweather and I love Harry Potter.I saw the Sorcerer's Stone first before I read the book so I thought I'd be bored when it was lent to me but boy was I wrong!!!After the first few pages,couldn't put it down.That's how it all started.I'm anxiously,excitedly awaiting book 6 and Goblet o fire movie.

icemerriweather: Cool name. I just happened to think of Vanilla Ice. Interesting guy. First he's a rapper. Then he disappears. Then he shows up playing a Russian fighter in Rocky V. Then he disappears. He must have spent his down time learning Spanish because the next thing I know, he's back and he's singing and his name is Ricky Martin. Then he disappears. You're not by any chance related to him are you?

'Interesting' 'Fac't #2 for when you're talking to a non-Harry person and, therefore, stuck for something to say: Did you know that Vanilla Ice was a member of Public Enemy? He left to do that 'Ice ice..' masterpiece. His ex-band members were sooo disgusted with him that they wrote the song 'Pop Goes The Weasel [and the weasel goes pop]' in his honour; the 'Weasel' being V.I. of course.

Buffy: Thank you. You certainly have better facts than I do. Everything I said was a load of codswallop except for the fact that the Vanilla Ice "type" will never be gone from the pop culture seen. He's the real Slim Shady.

A big hello to Zonko and Miecha potter.Thank you for welcoming me so warmly.Both your replies were a bit funny.To answer your questions:No,I'm not related to Vanilla ice;but I saw his movie once where he sang something like 'Thank you for letting me be myself',danced and saved the girl.I like Ricky Martin,even when he was still in Menudo(puerto rican boy band),stood in line for 4 hours just to see his concert.Must admit to dancing Shebang when I think no one's looking.Thank you for thinking my name's cool,it's a sort of reverse psychology bec where I live the air is always feverish come 10 am onwards.
