I think you are right, Buff - It doesn't sound like Dumb. begging to be spared. Then you're wrong, also. It sounds like Dumb. begging Snape to do what he's ben told, even if that meant to kill him. Right, now, what do you think of that?

Naaa!! This sniveling, pleading wreck can't be our Dumby!! Where's the pride and grace? Where's Dumbledore's majesty? Where's his awsome power and might? Where's his words of wisdom and reassurance; brevity without breath? Where was his hand?

Right now we are going to have to agree to disagree on that. I know I said I would never doubt your word again, but we have yet to fully dissect all we can from what we now know. I like the idea of why his hand was mussed, but he did say it was from destroying one of the horcruxes and he did drink that horrible stuff to get the lockett.
