You people who think Harry will die are pushing for some dark stuff huh. I say Harry will live but at the cost of another dieing in since these 4 people. Dumbledor, the most likely, then either Ron or Hermione or just maybe good old Hagrid.

i think it will be snape. i've read all the books and i'm so sure about it.

For harry dying, i think Voldy and harry will both die, or someone will die for him (Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and my favorite... DRACO! - not in a homo way though). We know that Harry can't die without Voldy dying, because then he would take over the world, and life would end.

And I agree with Tonks being under that spell for a lil bit, and then breaking from it, and helping Harry. I mean, she is clumsy, young, and all the stuff of a good target, but she's smart.

i reckon it'll be Dumbledore.

What do you'll think about the idea that Snape will try to re-pay this 'wizard debt' / 'life debt' thingo most of us posties seem to think Snape's got with Harry (thus the anger) and tries to sacrifice himself for Harry??? > ' Snape tries to sacrifice himself for Harry but survives. > Snape becomes harry's 'father'..???/ surrogate family??

rita: Sorry but where did this ' Voldemort can't die without Harry dying' stuff come from? That isn't my reading of the prophecy at all!

Sorry Rita but I still don't understand where you get this 'Voldemort has to die if Harry dies' stuff from. The prophecy says:
...and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives...
I thought this meant that Harry must live/be a murderer, or die/be a victim. That is that, Harry can't live if Voldemort survives.
Am I misunderstanding you?

Completely off the point here, but about that prophecy. JK's said that it's very carefully worded hasn't she? Well, what does everyone think about the dying at the other's hand part? To me that sounds like when V and H finally do get to their final battle, they aren't going to be able to kill each other with magic - no Avada Kedavra for Voldemort this time (also, that kind of explains why Voldemort couldn't kill Harry with the curse when he was a baby, doesn't it?) - they're actually going to have to, like, strangle each other or something.

Slopeydope: Ahhh, I hadn't thought of it like that, but maybe??? I've been trying raise a similar kinda questionon many different boards 'Where is the proof that Voldemort can kill Harry?' Whenever Voldemorts tried he's failed. BUT, more interestingly, 'how do we know Harry can kill Voldemort?' The two appear SO intrinsically combined that something more about their connection has to come out. Seems to me that Jo's gonna make it a little more complcated than an old fashioned shoot-em-up, High Noon show down. There's too strong a connection between Voldemort and Harry to make this as 'easy' as that. What do you think?

right, but I was just saying that in order for the wizarding life to stay the same, Voldemort must die. if Harry dies without Voldemort dying, Voldemort will take over. Do you get what I'm saying? This has nothing to do with the prophecy, it has to do with happy endings.
