kingsley--accent??

hey in the books did they mention kingsley having an africian accent or jamacian (i couldnt tell which)...because in the movie he did and i thought they only allowed english people??

i cant remember him having an accent in books..

There are many countries throughout the world that are a part of the British Commonwealth.
These include Australia, Canada, India, Jamaica and many many African nations.

There are many 'black british folk' living in England with all sorts of groovy accents. Kingsley Shacklebolt's accent works for me!

Can't remember they mentioned it in the book .

i'll look it up, i'm not quite sure, i just remember them saying he had a deep voice.

I dont recall if they mentioned it in the books but i belive in the audio books he does also.Iwould have to go make sure they were before the movies.Maybe it was intended for him too.You just cant tell by words only..

well, i don't remember JK writing dat ever. kingsley is just described black i think (correct me if i'm wrong) i too didn't expect kingsley to be potrayed llike dat!!

I hate it when you read And you picture the person in one way in your mind.Then the movie comes out and its not what you imagined at all...

In this instance someone else has interpreted the character and come up with ...what they came up with.

I hate Mr Weasley ...he was not what i expected.

I don't ever remember reading in the books that Kingsley Shacklebolt actually had an accent, I should know since I have a photographic memory and I've read the books for clues riddles and answers 17 million times(yes actual number), but we all perceive our character in our own way.
Before the movie came out I had always given Kingsley and accent I just have to make a voice up for my characters while reading them.

So no she didn't mention that Kingsley had an accent and yes he had an accent in the movie.
