I was supposed to cook a bunch of stuff this time as I usually do when the day comes around, and I had planned to. Traditional Eid food in these parts are Biriyani, Pillaw, Kebabs, Curries, Roasts (indian style), and a whole lot of traditional sweet stuff. I usually end up making stuff like Pizzas, Roast lamb / beef (my own style) and some oriental dishes, and trifle for desert.. non-traditional.. I like being different, see...

And some different is good.. a good different..

The crowd in my little apartment is a testament to that..
Most people who meet me for the first time are surprised that I can cook like this. The word guy and the word kitchen are words you hardly see linked together in one sentence in this country.
I ended up spending most of the day at my mom's this time, at her insistance, she said my dinky little apartment was not a place I should be spending a special day.. (I like my dinky little apartment). I think she thinks she owns me again now that I'm in a crossroad of careers. She doesn't let me get into the kitchen.. says I'm too bossy.. (am not) I think it's just her imagination.. I just sometimes like to tell her that she could put a pinch more salt in something, or suggest alternative ideas to cook something, or suggest that I'd would've definitely done something differently.. ok.. so I'm bossy in the kitchen..

Cooking is a hobby I take seriously..haha.. like writing..
Eid Mubarak ya'll
(Salam) Peace .. to everyone...
