snape in the movies

I must say I think they cut all of the characters way too much in the movies. Honestly I could have sat through at least an hour more of movie time on ALL of the movies. Except maybe POA. That was the worst movie in my opinion.

THEY-CUT-OUT-THE-QUIDDITCH-CUP!
I will never, ever forgive them for that.
They've cut out Quidditch completely.
They have also screwed up every movie except for 1&2. They got rid of Quidditch, made Ron and Hermione not prefects, made Harry seem like a madman, and just about wiped out the prophecy. And, Ginny said exactly 4 words throughout the whole movie, 2 of them were spells, and they were the SAME SPELL! And, they've gotten rid of Dobby and given all his jobs to NEVILLE! Neville is NOT a house-elf!
I could go on forever.

It's not so bad that Snape's character development, in particular, took a backseat in the OotP because the next movie title is in essence Harry Potter and Severus Snape. Alan Rickman will get a heck of a lot more screen time in the next movie, no doubt about it.

(What would it sound like if a Canadian said "No doubt about it"...no doot aboot it??? Hahahahaha!)

i realy do hope that Alan Rickman gets the sceans that are ment for snape and i hope that they do it right or i might cry in the middle or the theater with anger like i did in the 5th one lol i love the books the best ur imaginaion always lives up to ur expectaions!!!!!

They really should have more Snape in the next movie - The Half-Blood Prince - because he is kind of at the key of everything! But I do think that Alan Rickman is a good Snape

I agree. The greatest thing about the written word is that you can savour it.
I like the way JK built character relationships and I agree with Rita after cutting it all out of th emovies...it'll be weird throwing Harry and Ginny together and it's just too late to salvage anything more for Harry and poor Sirius.

We should really be making a list of the worst omissions and offences then turning that into a petition to entreat them not to do the same in the next 2 movie's.

I agree!!! I can't believe that they led out such an important caracter as Snape is! But in the fourth they also removed Dobby, and he was important, and is going to be really importan in the last two movies, if they don't put him in what happens in the las book is not going to be as emotionally as it is...

I agree! They better have Snape plenty involved for 1/2 blood prince, otherwise, it just wont work. & yeah, more Ginny! & if they show more Lavender than Ginny, I'll be peeved

I don't like Snape as a character ... but , I still want him portrayed in the Movie as JK meant him to be.
