It's talking about film piracy.
You ever go to L.A or some dowtown street and these guys are selling DVDs of movies that've barely even started showing in theatres?
Well how they do that is they go see the movie at the teatre and film it while they watch. They copy that and sell it off. That's film piracy.
The article means that there are now people in the theatre using night vision googles to catch the people illeglly filming those videos.

ohhhhhhhhhh now i get it ... people filming movies an stuff is called bootlegging... i know the process an all... have tons of bootleg moveis but they arnt that good of quality

Yes... "bootleg"?... that's a odd word...
I don't even see much of those movies... I only see them in L.A and I hate going there... to long a trip and traffic stinks

I was only interested because I took pirates litterally...
You know parots, peglegs, booty
I was sort of disturbed as to how pirates (arg!) and nighvision goggles got into the same timezone...
