I really don't see a romantic entanglement here between Dumbledore and Petunia. She doesn't seem his type. I can't even imagine what his type is.

But that business of Dumbledore sending letters to Petunia before baby Harry showed up is weird and a half. I hope JKR doesn't tell us they used to be pen pals in school. That boggarts my mind!

About the eye topic, maybe Im way off but obviously lilly and harry had a great mother son relationship ( i mean she died for him but what mother wouldn't die for her son?) her eyes were green harrys eyes were green and Harry happens to see into the future alot, maybe his mother could see into the future too. I mean harry was thinking about being an auror right.

Harry can see into the future?? When? How? What have I missed? I know Harry has a bond with Voldemort so that he can feel and see what Voldemort is feeling and seeing at times, but I can't remember any instance where Harry - or Voldemort for that matter - saw the future.

The fact that Harry has Lily's eyes and that Lily was good at charms, is meant to be significant. James was meant to be good at transfiguration. What do you reckon all this might mean?

Jo has so many blood relations and such its hard the understand... I need to write it down.

buffy u and zonko need to get a room. i dont know how u started talking about spotted dick. but come on!. Voldemort needed harry's so he could touch harry. and the ritual "said blood of the enemy."

This means that he can tush Harry with out his skin turning to ash:

Do you remember in the first movie whin Professor Quill tuched Harry his has crumled in to ash?
Well that was because Voldemort was atached to him and at the time he did not have Harrys blood in him(or Lillys blood). Lilly's blood was what saved Harry in the first place and the love in it.
Now that Voldemort has Harry's blood (again Lilly's blood) he can there for tuch Harry with out being turned in to nothing as he was before(not a gost not a soul not a vision and not human but still not dead).
So now Voldemort can kill Harry by himself wich he no dout will try to do.

How did Voldemort know that Harry's blood or skin or.. whatever, was the reason he couldn't kill harry? Tom Riddle figured out that Lily must have done some charm, not Voldemort!!! I reckon that Voldemort wanted Harrys blood because he had witnessed and experienced how much it hurt to touch Harry in PS (but he still doesn't REALLY know why) AND because he thought it symbolic. Voldemort hasn't figured out why the Avada rebounded yet/ he hasn't understood the strength of love. Therefore, Voldemort will try to kill Harry again and fail again!! I think Jo has lead us to this by:
1) Introducing us to the fact that Tom Riddle could become a totally independent person. Therefore, the things that Tom learnt (like the fact that Lily's love/ old magic, saved Harry) will not be 'learnt', understood by Voldemort.
2) Voldemort just thinks it's a matter of some kind of protection spell that Lily gave Harry (he says this in the graveyard in GoF) he doesn't say anything about love. Therefore, he hasn't learnt, as Tom did, that this love/ old, is stronger than he can imagine or deal with.
3) Dumbledore keeps telling us that Voldemort always underestimates love.
4) Dumbledore keeps telling us that the most powerful magic - most powerful than anything in the Ministry - is love.
5) Jo's told us that the primary question we ahould be asking ourselves is "Why did the curse rebound?"
Therefore, I reckon, Lily's protection spell is as powerful as ever. The fact that Voldemort STILL doesn't get this, will be his undoing.
