How did James Potter become headboy without even being a prefect? Is this a serious error on Mrs.Rowling's part or is there another story behind it all? Please tell all you know over this issue.

You know what? My best friend and I are gonna write to JK and ask her a list of questions like that, so I'll be sure to include that on the list. Also, doesn't it make sense for Harry to be a head boy? I mean really, he just HAS TO BE!!!

You don't have 2 b a prefect in order 2 become a headboy! n remember in the 5th book they said that James was a rule breaker up until his 7th year @ Hogwarts! then he became cool n settled! Of course Harry will become headboy!

Harry does break alot of rules but i think he would have become prefect if it wasn't the lord voldemort thing but i think he probably will be head boy. He would not take advantage of it but it will be nice though

harru head boy i don't know about that. hemione and ron maybe.i don't think you have to be a prefect to be headboy i think your appointed for it or something.
