Why Do The Characters In The Movies, Never Look The Way Jk Rowling Describes Them In The Books?

Have you seen the way Umbridge looked in the Previews of HP 5? She didn't even look the least bit froggy! Im so ashamed of the directors and people who cast and the make up artists! Bring back the good old days of HP 1 and how perfect the cast was. Does any1 have any gossip of any of the original cast members leaving? I do . . . . . .

Haven't seen the 5th movie. Going with the trends I think you're right, things are going downhill. The first movie probably had the best representation of the characters. I still haven't come to grips with the new Dumbledore.

Even the story lines are being distorted in the new movies.

Umridge looks nothing like a frog, as J.K Rowling pictured, she has black hair and looks like about 45.

Nup. Umbridge looks nothing like JKR described her in the books. I desperately wanted to play Fleur Delacour, but failed.

Right . I didn't expect that Umbridge would be sooooo young in the movie .
She 's got to have double-jowl ! The chacracter doesn't look like the way JKR described at all !
She even doesn't look like the chapter picture drawn by Mary GrandPre !
And , also Sirius 's letting people down . I thought I'd seen a brown-hair , bearded , middle-age guy!



Oh , I forgot to say that Fleur wasn't the type JKR described , neither.
Wasn't she have silver-white hair ? Or I remember it wrongly ?

Does anyone remember the movie Poltergeist? Remember the character that was the Medium who helped rescue the little girl? That was the exact person who came to mind when I think of Umbridge! She's short, fat, and has a tiny girlish voice... What do you think?

I didn't know she was dead. I don't remember her having a mean disposition though. Seemed a rather cheery short lady, unlike Umbridge.
