A Summer At The Durleys

How do will the Durley traet Harry after being threted by Mad Eye, Lupin, and Mr.Weasley.

The Dursleys would tend to avoid him more. They aren't pleasant muggles to be with so Harry is spared some grief. However, that adds to the isolation Harry feels when he's away from Hogwarts. He doesn't have anyone to talk to except Hedwig. So while he's living with the Dursleys, Harry has got to feel like he's in detention.

Yeah, they hardly want to see him, less talk to him and treat him a certain way.

Yes, they pretty much isolate him. At least now he has a bedroom with plenty of light which means he can read. I'm not really sure why he couldn't find a job during the summer and buy himself a radio. In the UK (United Kingdom), the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) has a great radio station that broadcasts 24 hours. Then too I'm surprised Harry isn't a bit more like the twins, learning to pick locks in his spare time. If somebody locked up me or my owl, I'd learn to pick a lock slicker than a peeled onion.

I would just use magic, who cares about the laws, GET OUT!!!!!!!!!! Maybe just pick the lock and run away though. As always, Zonko has very interesting information.

The twins picked the lock on Harry's door and Hedwigs cage using a ladies hairpin. Harry could have done that. You or I could have done that. Harry doesn't seem to have his thinking cap on.

maybe it was just because he had been locked up for so long he couldnt think right!!!!!!

i think that they would treat him better but stay v.v.v. distent

then again we could all just wait for the book

and if i where harry all isolated and locked up i would go insane!! (not that i\'m not anyway)

Totally off the subject but what did the letter dumbledor left with Harry say???? They keep referring to it and I don't know if I missed something imortant.

This is a VERY good question HarryAndDracoAreHot. We don't know what was in that letter.... ??
Interesting too is the fact that we know that Dumbledore wrote to Petunia before the night the Potter's died. Now what was that about????

AS we have talked about on other threads: Why did Dumbledore correspond with Petunia? We know she isn't magical or even squib (JKR said).
How/why does Petunia know about Azkaban partiicularly? (Even if Peti. was just over hearing, Azkaban seems like a strange topic for the James and Lily to talk about OR for Peti. to remember.... ??)
BUT the real clincher is, WHAT WAS GOIN' ON BETWEEN D. AND P.???? Really weird!!
