Okay, here's another post that gives room for friendly bantering. Who thinks that Harry's head had become a bit swollen at the beginning of book 5? I mean, with all his "I'm the one who's done everything" sort of thinking.

We have a Flood Control Team? Whoa. This is more serious than I thought. Thank god I always wear my scuba gear whenever I post. No I don't think Harry acted more self-important at the beginning of Book 5. I do think his anxiety level was high. This was Dumbledore's fault. He instructed everyone to tell Harry nothing when they wrote in case their letters were intercepted. Dumbledore himself could have found a way to communicate with Harry securely but he chose not to. Dumbledore admitted it was a mistake keeping Harry in the dark. And if you look at it from Harry's viewpoint, he had ended the school year battling Voldemort and dragging Cedric's dead body through a portkey. Just when he's convinced that Voldemort plans to destroy the earth, he's dumped back at the Dursley's, crawling around in the bushes listening to muggle nightly news. Not a peep from the magic world. Harry felt totally abandoned. I think I'd be a little irritable too.

I was actually thinking that for a while. I almost felt like yelling at him and throwing the book I was reading at him! Of course.... that would mean I'd pulverize my wall for no reason and lose my spot in the book... But, yes. Harry was suffering from a odd case of Fatheadedness...

You never want to lose your place in the book. I've got gum wrappers, old tickets, a protractor, a rubber band and a swizzle stick keeping places in these books. I use a sock one time but it was too fat. Besides it seemed like a dobby git kind of thing to do.

*laughs* man, you like the word git! Um, yeah, reading the 5th book a second time, I can kind of see where he's coming from. But I do think he needed to be lecture too when he exploded at Ron and Hermione. you know, when he said something like "Who did that? I did! Who did this? ME!" Poor Hermione just about cried, it wasn't her fault!
