I still have a problem with the Time Turner concept. If Hermione could turn back time and save Buckbeak and Sirius, why couldn't Dumbledore turn back time and save Lily and James Potter? Or Neville parents? Or Sirius Black again? With a Time Turner, why should any witch or wizard ever die?

Surely saving Harry's parents was just as important as saving Buckbeak. So why didn't Dumbledore use the Time Turner and save them? I don't get it.

Maybe Dumbledore didn't know where James was located. Only his secret-keeper was supposed to know. That may have something to do with it. Also, why wouldn't Voldemorts followers do the same thing? Time Turners must be very carefully guarded, one can't just use it to right every wrong. That's my say on it anyway.

Good one! I didn't consider that the death eaters could do the same thing. But you are absolutely right.

What puzzles me is even now, the only one to use the Time Turner has been Hermione. Dumbledore told her to use it. Why do you think Dumbledore didn't just turn back time himself? Do you think it is because the only ones who can turn back time are the ones who were present when the deed was done? Maybe that's why Harry couldn't go back and save his parents because he would be a baby again. Maybe that's the answer.

Whaddya think?

Well if the only one voldemort is afraid of is dumbledore, he may have built up courage, and if dumbledore went back to save them , he could have been hurt or killed and then, no more dumbledore = no more enemies 4 voldemort

According to the book, if you go back in time, everything is the same as it was then. The only thing that will throw a monkey wrench into the works is being seen when you go back. Did Book 3 mention what the consequences of being seen are?
I cannot remember.

I think the time turner is a neat gadget. But if you set the wrong time, that could be bad, it could take yopu to the wron gtime, say just a few seconds before lily and james were murdered, and you could be murdered

The Time Turner would be a neat gadget if you ccould use it in daily life. But watching people go back in time in a movie is boring. I hope there are no more Time Turners in the new movie.
