I wonder why Harry Potter couldn't use the Time Turner to go back and save Sirius from dying. In fact, why couldn't Dumbledore have used the Time Turner to save Lily and James Potter from dying? Hermione was able to go back into the past to reverse Buckbeak's death.

Something here doesn't make sense. What do you think?

i reckon it would be a bit risky for harry to use the time turner to go back in time a save sirius think about i a room full of witches and wizards dueling with harry in the middle of it all and then another harry just appears out of now wear some one would see him if he haddnt seen himself. tooo risky

Page 805-806 in Order of the Phoenix tells about Sirius' death. Bellatrix LeStrange hits him with a red light square in the chest. If Harry used the Time Turner to go back with his invisibility cloak and either delect the beam of light or vaporize Bellatrix's wand, maybe Sirius could be saved. Why wouldn't that work?
Maybe.

TY and what is a red light, a spell, or just a red beam of light, and i thought Lestrange(or whatever her name is) was in Azkaban.

You'd have to read Order of the Phoenix to know that Bellatrix broke out of Azkaban. The red light is the color of the energy coming from her wand. Bellatrix is one nasty chick.

Maybe Harry could end up saving Harry, but wouldn't the books get a bit dull if wizards used time-turners all the time?
....Course...if Lupin dies, then SOMEBODY better go back to save him.

Well, if Lupin is a werewolf then he should be able to fend for himself, not if it is the Adava Kedavra or something else.

But Lupin can only turn into a werewolf during the full moon, otherwise he's perfectly human, like everyone else.
