I wonder why Harry Potter couldn't use the Time Turner to go back and save Sirius from dying. In fact, why couldn't Dumbledore have used the Time Turner to save Lily and James Potter from dying? Hermione was able to go back into the past to reverse Buckbeak's death. Something here doesn't make sense. What do you think?

i reckon it would be a bit risky for harry to use the time turner to go back in time a save sirius think about i a room full of witches and wizards dueling with harry in the middle of it all and then another harry just appears out of now wear some one would see him if he haddnt seen himself. tooo risky

Page 805-806 in Order of the Phoenix tells about Sirius' death. Bellatrix LeStrange hits him with a red light square in the chest. If Harry used the Time Turner to go back with his invisibility cloak and either delect the beam of light or vaporize Bellatrix's wand, maybe Sirius could be saved. Why wouldn't that work? Maybe.

Maybe Harry could end up saving Harry, but wouldn't the books get a bit dull if wizards used time-turners all the time? ....Course...if Lupin dies, then SOMEBODY better go back to save him.
