[quote] Why would Voldemort have to know? [quote] If Voldemort knows that his most useful servant has made an unbreakable vow about protecting Harry, Voldemort will not ask that servant to kill Harry. I don't really believe it, but it makes some sense.
I definately, absolutely believe that's why Snape made the vow about Draco. Would doing it twice be too lame?
[quote] I personally believe that Snape has fooled Voldemort through and through... [quote] Me, too.

Voldemort wanted that satisfaction of killing Harry himself, so he wouldn't be too concerned with Snape not killing Harry..does that make sense?

That's one solid theory that could work. But I believe Voldemort also has mixed feelings about killing Harry because Harry is an accidental horcrux. If it's true, Voldemort would have begun suspecting it around the time of the attack on Arthur, just before Christmas in the fifth book. I'm sure that he hates Harry more than he loves the shard, but maybe he goes back and forth about it.
