Have been reading book three over a bit and had to wonder, who made the secret passageways in and out of the school? I mean, we know the origin of the one between the Whomping Willow and the Shrieking Shack but what about the one between Hogwarts and Honeydukes? Would it have been a professor or a student years before? Another Fred and George Weasley of another generation? Or could it have even been Dumbledore... though then he could have told Filch of it... but given his liking for sweets well maybe not!

all the passeges where made by the founders but the chamber of secrets that was made by only one person salasar slyturin(sp?) but they plantede a whomping willow there so that no one could get to the shrieking shack when remus was there cause he turned into a wearwolf the one that was from honeydukes was probley made by the four founders also one of them might have had a sweet tooth also (like dumbledor) and it would have made it easyer for delivering sweets up to the castle i have other sugestions but really the founders made the passegways

Did you hear something somewhere, or are you guessing?

Main reason I ask is that I don't think we've seen the end of their usefulness, but I don't know in what way. Though I can imagine the Creevey brothers being quite into the idea of being able to sneak to Honeydukes whenever they want.
