I find they are similar to Harry Potter in parts. They are as big as GoF amd OotP, so they take the same amount of time too.

lol

I heard a theory that those stories are total rip offs of Star Wars. After careful examination, I can see it. I'm reading Eldest now.

I also love Terry Goodkind and his Sword of Truth series.

I'm a huge Stephen King fab, so I'll be reading the sixth and seventh books in his Dark Tower series, which I think are probably on equal footing with th HP series, but perhaps a bit more mature.

My wife likes Stephen King. Me not so much. I dont think that he knows how to finish a book. but there are worse writers.

That last Gunslinger book ended horribly. I wish now I had quit reading when he said to quit reading it, but no. I had to keep going until he ruined it. Yeah, I'm about done with Mr. King. I currently love Ian Irvine.

I have a friend who is as much into zombies as I am into werewolves. He made me read that zombie survival guide. It was great! There were a few werewolf books that I suggested to him, but none that were that straightforward.

I loved the Hitchhiker's Guide.
I read it again last year.

Favorite character: the bowl of flowers -- "Not Again!"

I'll be reading the whole HP series again. I like Emily Rodda's Deltora Quest Series and her old Teen Power Inc., books.
