Hi folks, was thinking if two squibs or a squib and a muggle get married and have kids who aren't magical, how many generations is it until they are classed as muggles who have no magical stuff in them at all?[/b]

I would think that they would be muggles, but maybe not. It is hard to tell sometimes would would happen since really only JK knows, but I still would assume them to be muggles that know a little of the magical world.

I ask because in book one we find Ron referring to a relative of his Mum's who's a muggle, yet I thought the Weasleys were pure bloods. Does this suggest that a couple of generations back there was a squib in Molly's family who has done as mentioned above and is now just classed as a muggle?[/b]

No, I think that the muggle married into a wizarding family. Someone said in the books, I don't remember who it could be Ron, Sirus, or Dumbledore) that no family is really pure. I t's just that they seem to forget that they once had a muggle in the family, ya kno.

It also ties in with Harry's Mum's family - the Evans'. What if there had been some magical ability a few generations before and that was why her parents were so proud of Lily getting her letter, and maybe also why Petunia is so anti it, maybe that was something in past generations that she wasn't happy about.[/b]

Maybe. I don't think there is any real way of knowing, but I think that it kinda makes since. I mean maybe that explains Lily's eyes. Maybe Lily has eyes like some powerful wizard in the past that is related to her is some distant way.
Notice there was a lot of maybe's. I am jsut guessing with most of this, but really that is all we can do.
