The Half Blood Prince

Do you think the Half Blood Prince is one of the characters we've already met in Books 1-5? Could it be one of the members of the Order of the Phoenix like Lupin or Kingsley Shacklebolt? I think the Prince would be someone from a foreign kingdom--like Viktor Krum's home land.

You are probably right. Everything I've been able to find tells me the half-blood prince is old. I guess Harry is too powerful to fight anyone his own age. It looks like all his enemies are going to be old. But maybe Harry won't fight the prince. Maybe the prince will give him new powers. Wish book 6 was already here.

Zonko, do you think then, that the Prince could be a badguy?... I admit, that thought never crossed my mind.

Hi KaraC: Just think about the titles of the books: Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Askaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix. Books 1, 2, 4 are spells that Harry had to break. Book 3 was about a man who Harry believed was his enemy who turned out to be his friend. Book 5 was about the order dedicated to good magic.

So I wonder if book 6 will be about a man who Harry thinks is his friend and turns out to be his enemy--the opposite of Book 3. I admit, this theory could be totally lame but with nothing else to go on, why not?

Give him a special weapon? Give him a tip on the ponies? Give Hagrid hula lessons? Open an Owl Pedicure Emporium? Sell fish and chips Diagon Alley? Do a photo shoot for GQ (Gentlemen's Quarterly)?
