I had a feeling Aberforth was older. It was just the expressions he used.[/b]
Just out of curiousity, what kind of expressions?

Didn't i already reply to this? Oh well. I can't remember what expressions now. None come to mind. Sorry.

Glad to see such a variety of fans here. I am 31 I love the books and even enjoy the movies. ( I treat them seperately that is how I can enjoy them.)

I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of both to come along.

I know there are plenty of adult fans of Harry Potter out there, with a few notable exceptions (actually, just one at this point) the only people I've spent time talking with on here and found out their age were 13-15 year olds. This doesn't bother me of course, in fact, I'm very glad to see a lot of youngins on here, I'm just curious to see who the adults on this board are.

So if you are 20 years old or older, make it known in this thread. I think it would be interesting to know.

Welcome Michelle! Glad to see you here. There are some slight word choice differences betweeen the UK and the U copies, but nothing significant.

Hi, 30 something here. This was a really nice topic . I like the way it's flowing, and it seems to have been put out here at just the right time. I don't know if I'd feel the same if it was put up after book one, but I don't feel like I'm being pounced on the way a chat room can do. I get a different sense of who everyone is by adding age to posts and avatars.

Hi, Michele!
I just thought I'd add that there is one difference between the UK and US versions. In that conversation with Draco on the astronomy tower (pg 591) Dumbledore has an extra paragraph in the US version that doesn't show in the UK version:

"He cannot kill you if you are already dead. Come over to the right side, Draco, and we can hide you more completely than you can possibly imagine. What is more, I can send members of the Order to your mother tonight to hide her likewise. Nobody would be surprised that you had died in your attempt to kill me -- forgive me, but Lord Voldemort probably expects it. Nor would the Death Eaters be surprised that we had captured and killed your mother -- it is what they would do themselves, after all. Your father is safe at the moment in Azkaban... When the time comes, we can protect him too. Come over to the right side, Draco... you are not a killer..."

The rest of the differences are insignificant.

See discussion in a thread called “‘Subtle Differences.” It’s in Harry Potter Chat > For Members of the Order of the Phoenix > The Restricted Section of the Library > Divination Class for Book VII.

Age is but a state of mind and Harry Potter Fans are all of one mind! I love Harry Potter and I'm the one who got my kids insterested in it , but I must say that I am the biggest fan of the three of us. I love to re-read the books over and over and find the little things that one misses when just reading it once

The big 36 here! I love the Harry Potter books. Each time a book is released I am not sure who is more excited, myself or my children! LOL
I am not on this chat often, but I like to read the odd times to see news Harry related.
Take care!
