Because if you were 20, 21, 22, you would just say so. You wouldn't say "I'm under 30"

Ok, so I'm under a month away from 29, therefore less than 13 months til I'm 30. But I think I'm going to agree with the adage: you're only as old as you feel and my workmates all say I'm a big kid!

I am 34, 35 in a month. People say I'm a kid to (I will not say big!) I have 3 kids myself and all love Harry! I have a 13 year old and its just really funny to be talking to someone online about Harry Potter and then find out they're only 13 or 14. CRAZY !! You don't find many subjects that both kids and adults will say "so what do you think" and actually care what the other says.

I am glad you put this thread up here for us "Elders", Harry Potter has certainly bridged the generation gap for me and my 13 year old. She's at her dad's for the summer and just the other day she called me to make sure I had heard about the JK interview (the one where she says 2 people die and one gets a reprieve).

When Book 6 came out she was at her dad's (Dad gets 30 days in summer) I had finished reading it before she did so I was tormenting her... I know who dies! I'm not gonna tell you or worse still I'd say Ron died and she'd freak out! I know, bad mom! But it was fun! So when she read about Dumbledore she called me crying her eyes out "MOM DUMBLEDORE'S DEAD!!!" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry with her. I settled for being a mom so I told her NO HE'S NOT DIDN'T YOU GET THE CLUES!!!!!

But really though, its good to know I'm not the only freaky adult who's into Harry!

It's really nice to see that these stories have done this for people.

It was so strange the first time i met an adult fan on here. It was Ginevra26 and when she said she'd finished Uni i was like WHAT??? The way we talked was as if we were the same age. Now i'm pretty much used to it, but i still can't tell wether i'm talking to an adult or not.

I know, it seems very difficult at times. I thought that Mione was my age and Aberforth a little younger. That showed me.

lol! That's good to be that way. Aberforth reminded me of my little brother because he seemed to act like a know it all and want everyone to think that he is the smartest thing around, ya kno. No offence Aberforth.
