Yes but don't think that no other children may die, aberforth. No one wanted Cedric to die and he certainly did.

But he served a very specific purpose. He wasn't even introduced until Goblet of Fire, and for a specific reason. He was designed so that we would feel for him when he died, as an example of what evil does. The primary child characters are the central aspect of the story and this is first and foremost a children's story. She is not going to kill any of these characters because she will want to finish with hope, not sadness and despair.

Well, it is not only a children's story, I mean many adults read these books. Also, I think that just because it might make the kids sad that one of the main characters died JK would do what she felt. Afterall these are her books.

I know adults read the books. I'm one of them (well, sorta )

But she's not going to want to END her books with sadness and despair as I said before. She's going to want to end them with hope.

To add on to who I think may be killed, I was thinking about it today and I think Bellatrix may die, possibly at the hands of Neville, but I kind of doubt that she'll have any of the kids actually kill anyone other than Harry killing Voldemort. However if any kids DO kill Bellatrix, I think it will be Neville. As I said earlier I think Snape will likely die whether he is good or evil.

I think that it would be good for Neville to kill Belatrix. I mean it's could to kill anyone but it might help him come to terms with what has happened to his parents.

That's the thing. I don't know that revenge would necessarily help him come to terms with what happened to his parents. Based on how Rowling has written so far, I don't think this is something she would want to imply is a good thing.

I guess your right it would probably make him feel really guilty and stuff. I guess I just want revenge for Neville. Weird huh.
