I saw it as a joke, and I'm a girl. But i think Psyduck sees it as one too? Anyway, enough of that. I love a nifflers and centaur, simply because Umbridge hates them. Actually, centaurs are ok but I'd prefer a dog, or a dragon. I could put a charm on it so it stays a manageable size.

A centaur would be annoyingly patronising. Crookshanks is a half cat half kneazle (Mrs Figg is a breeder). My ego couldn't handle the kind of superiority oozed from the Crookshanks of the world. I'm not all that attracted to dragons I gotta admit. Owning a magical dog appears unpredictable at the least and, at the most, deadly. I want a Peeves!! (I know I know, "not an animal" but still...)

Dogs are great. They are there for you. That kind of loyalty is confronting -in it's way- but not challenging. Having a poltergeist around would push you to every kind of limit! I'd like to be able to put it in a box whenever it got too much. Maybe what I want is a genie A hippogriff would be great. A threastle would be even less needy than a hippogriff- which is good- but you couldn't exactly show it off could you? hmmm

An animal with the least amount of upkeep necessary. I think Pygmy Puffs might fit that description. I grew up with cats (my mother loves them) so I think I'm kind of over them, except for watching the kittens play in the petshop windows. Sort of a moot question for me @ present though - I live in a rental place, no pets, except the caged or tanked variety are allowed.
