It isnt much of a theory... more like a conversation started from boredom. I do agree that he could have taught once and left and taught again. I never thought of that.

I've wondered this ever since it was mentioned that voldy cursed the job, and in the end i just came up with the same theory as you.

I think that he was only teaching at Hogwarts for that one year, ya kno.

It is possible that they knew about what he had done and what happened to him by the Daily Prophet or some other source.
They could have possible even knew him before he came to teach at Hogwarts. :P

I dont think that the job was cursed untill voldemort took over quarrl then when harry killed quarrl the curse was realsed and therefore this was not a mistake just ppl not knowing the basics of a curse lol.

Exactly, I agree.
I also don't that jk would make a mistake like that. Maybe just spelling and a couple of grammar mistakes. And does it really matter becasue I don't think it is going to affect the 7th book unless Harry has to get rid of the curse or something, but I think that it will go away when Voldemort dies. :P

Who ever would even mention jk making a big mistake like that really got like jk as much as all us other ppl.
I dont think that he will have to get rid of the curse because voldermort put the curse on it so maybe he did it to get rid of dumbledore and now that dumbledore is gone maybe the curse is lifted what do u guys think? lol

Teachers can change positions in the school. So it doesn't mean he was Da teacher.
