Whew! You had me worried there for a minute. Hermione is too valuable to vaporize. Even Harry needs her. She's got his back. Too bad we can't clone Hermione. There just aren't enough witches like her. Her only flaw is that SPEW organization she keeps talking about. I hope in Book 6 she realizes that SPEW is a dead end project.

I don't think Hermione will die, and I don't think Ron will either.
The one who kicks the bucket will have to be a loved character, but it won't be any of the trio.

No I talked to my brother about this one. Him and I agree that it would be a professor and we think it might be snape and the reason for that is because Lord Voldermort uncovers that he is a trator or something like that or LV goes after Harry and Snape tries to defend Harry and Snape gets killed?

But I also agree it might be a loved one or someone very close to him, but not the trio.

If you go to www.mugglenet.com and click on BOOKS 6 & 7 on the left hand side index, you will be able to read random facts about Book 6. One of the facts is that in Book 6, we will find out why Dumbledore trusts Snape.

Of course, this doesn't mean he won't be killed eventually, but I think JKR likes Snape as a character and doesn't intend to eliminate him just yet. So if it is a professor, I don't think it will be Snape.

Lupin is important because he is the last of the Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prong group provided Wormtail catches his lunch. Lupin then is the last link to Harry's father and mother. And when he is human, he seems such a "normal" character that you feel sympathy for him. Anyway, I hope it isn't Lupin.

My pick is Mad-Eye Moody. There are a lot of Death Eaters gunning for him. He's put a lot of them in Azkaban. He's a snarly sort who seems to invite risk with his aggressive attitude. So I vote for Mad-Eye!
