Trelawney - Fraud Or Just Out Of Touch?

Harry, Hermione and Ron think that Professor Trelawney is just a fraud, but she has made real predictions. Is she just getting lucky once in a while? Or has she simply never taken the trouble to meditate, study and tap into the power that may run in her family? <_<

I don't think she's even concious of the power that she REALLY has... she seems to be confused everytime she makes a real prediction.
So... she is a fraud pretending to be more than she really is.

Trelawney is just.......odd. She isn't really a harm and I don't see why ppl think she is.

I think she has the gift and that:
1) Her ego and her fear cloud her inner eye, and
2) Dumbledore has been holding her back.

I agree. Also I think that she doesn't know how powerful she is because, like you say, Dumbledore has been keeping it from her.

Personally, I think Harry should quit fooling around and openly take charge
(at least within the Order and among trustworthy people).

I also think that the first thing he should do is tell Trelawney the truth,
and openly welcome her to the order.

my vertic is ; Just out of touch, i mean she has made 2 accruate predictions already she just needs to relax and stop trying too hard.

She's made TONS of predictions.
They just get tossed away.

psyduck: I dunno... i don't think that Trelawney would believe Harry if he told her and she would be WAY too afraid to get involved in a resistance movement (the Order); her eye is on other realms I reckon - sherry for example [hic][sic]

shanny: Trelawney predicted the 'The One with the power to vanquish...' AND the '.. the servant will return to the Dark Lord..' AND the 'lighening struck tower'.

Anyone know of other predictions she has made??

The person who "dislikes the questioner."
She's constantly dripping miss-interpreted or rejected visions.
