| I agree. There's no way Dumbledore has a horcrux. What we know about them tells us that a person has to murder someone to create them and that the creation of a horcrux has to be intentional. We don't know of any murders Dumbledore has committed and there's no reason for us to believe he did. But ultimately that's irrelevant to most who believe he is not dead, because we don't believe that the avada kadavara was real in the first place. |

| irrelevant or not, i'm adding somthing to the horcrux theory cause i've said it a million times and i dont think anyones listens, tearing your soul to make a horcrux is AGAINST NATURE "...the soul is supposed to remain intact and whole. Splitting it is an act of violation, it is against nature." HBL p. 498 Everybody knows that DD wouldn't do somthing like this even if it wasn't required that he commit murder. There is just no way. But aberforth is right, its irrelevant cause the avada kedavara was fake. |

Not that I'm overly impressed by that alone, but it would explain why no one bothers to say it. It's too obvious. |

| Dumbledore did kill someone. Grindelwald. Well, technically, the chocolate frog card said "...his [i]defeat[i]of the dark wizard Grindelwald..." But that probably means killed, though not necessarily. |

"Murder," buy moral and legal definition, is very specific. It does not include self-defence, accident, an act of war, temporary insanity... Even reckless endangerment (drunk driving) is punishable, but not truly "murder." Quote:
"I can teach you to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death... save you from most poisons... draught of living death..." "He can't kill you if you're already dead." Oh, wait. I forgot. We've been through this... |

| I didn't know we'd been through this. Anyway, it doesn't matter how you kill them, it's still killing someone so I reckon he could have made a horcrux, but I'm sure he didn't. And remember, the Aussie version has the "He can't kill you if you're already dead" line. |
